Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American singer and actress whose dramatic range earned her popular acclaim across many styles from period dramas to thrillers and action. Johansson is born to an architect as well as producer, was brought up as a child in New York City. Her twin brother Hunter and her were the youngest siblings. When she reached seven years old, her love of acting had increased. She began to audition for commercials. In order to improve her skills, she attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan as well as the Professional Children's School. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance on screen in North (1994) which was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson made her debut on screen in Just Cause (1996), but the film Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her her breakthrough. The film tells the story of two young girls that run away. After that, she earned the praise of critics for playing the role of a teenager who been injured and caused her to be damaged on screen in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her popularity grew with the film Ghost World (2002) as the outcast cynical Rebecca. Renee Felice Smith entered the world of entertainment at a very early age. At the age of a young girl, she discovered her passion for acting. Smith was offered her debut acting job at the young age of six with parents' encouragement. Smith created a commercial for Dannon. Much like many other new actresses, she chose to develop her talents in the theatre. Additionally, she was involved in various projects throughout the USA as well, and Wildflower was her debut on stage performance. She studied at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
